The views to and from the 14th Street residence are to be found in the back yard.  Our approach to this design focused on a central theme of indoor/outdoor space.  To create a flow of activity between the kitchen and the living space as well as to the deck outside between the spaces was key.   The Living/Dining area is defined by a central limestone mass which anchors the entire lower level.   The glass panel enclosed stairwell provides abundant daylighting and passive heating to all areas of the home.
